Social Distancing: 3 Ideas for How to Stay Sane
With social distancing and the world at a temporary standstill, most of you are experiencing various levels of ennui. That old chestnut, "The devil finds work for idle hands" comes to mind...
We've already gone through our closets and rearranged all the cupboards so... in an attempt to stay busy, stimulated and positive, we've been diving into some new projects. From creative pastimes to some light manual labour, here's what we've been up to... perhaps you'll give it a try?
1. Get Artsy
Some of you may have a natural artistic streak that allows you to sketch and paint images from your imagination but for those who don't, there are adult colouring pages! You can order books online or simply google and print. Give it a try, the end results are surprisingly rewarding!
2. Find Your Green Thumb
If you have a backyard, the options are endless! Now is the perfect time to create your own backyard oasis, as several nurseries are marking down their plants and offering delivery. In a condo? Not a problem. Whether you wish to grow some vegetables on your balcony or cultivate some decorative potted plants indoors, there are plenty of options just a few clicks away.
3. Learn Something New
Whether it's learning a new language, how to knit, or how to do some handy work around your home, there are countless opportunities to stimulate your brain and learn something new! Good old YouTube has endless free "how to" videos. Alternatively, we've been spending time with Kelly Wearstler & Anna Wintour on MasterClass.
What's been keeping you occupied lately? We'd love to hear from you...
